London Baby.

Hello ladies

How are we?
This weekend I went to London (YAY) to most people this isn’t a big deal if you live pretty close, but I live about 4/5 hours drive away so I don’t get to go there very often. For my Christmas present my Mum and Dad bought a weekend trip for me and my sister, which also included seeing the Lion King (hakuna matata) at the lyceum theatre.

Yes it was amazing. It was well performed and the costumes were amazing. Sadly no photos were taken as this isn’t aloud. But here is an image of Timon and Pumbaas costume taken from this website which I and Jen thought were the best.

The lady who played Rafiki was a fantastic singer and actress, they all were but when she sang our arm hairs really stood on end.

On the Sunday we both went shopping, sadly the shops didn’t open until 11:30 and because the bus was picking us back up at 3 this was very little shopping time but we managed to get to all the stores we wanted to. Surprisingly I spent nothing in Topshop :O. For me it was just too large and I ended up scanning over everything quickly rather than having a good look. But never mind money saved. I did however pick up some make-up goodies from MAC. I bought the ‘Well Dressed’ pale pink blush £17.50 which I have heard raving reviews about and the ‘Rich Ground’ Gel liner £14 which I saw on one of the MAC make-up artists as a base eye shadow (so kinda used like a paint pot) and it looked gorgeous so I thought I would try it for myself. I bought some Shu Uemura eye lash curlers which have consistently had raving reviews and don’t pull out any of my lashes (No7 lash curlers constantly trap my lashes in the metal joins and pull them. OWCHH :’( ) So I had to invest. I also picked up some Liz Earle cleanse and polish from John Lewis whilst I was there. I did also purchase a long chain silver cross necklace from Urban Outfitters.

So that pretty sums up mine and Jens trip to London. We had an amazing time and Mum and Dad said they will do the same again next year for our Christmas present but with a different show! YAY!
Here are a few pics from our trip and an picture of what I wore:

Dress: Topshop
Blazer: Primark
Shoes: Topshop
Necklace: Tiffany
Bag: Warehouse
Coat: Warehouse

Also what do you think of my new bag?? It’s only £38 from warehouse and comes in dark red (burgundy) too?

I have also done some online shopping and bought a 'kabuki flattop f80 sigma brush' and 'Bioderma solution micellaire'. I have yet to try them but will let you know what I think. And I’m still waiting for my Urban Decay Naked Pallet 2 to arrive.
Have you tried any of these products?

What I got for Christmas♥

Hello ladies

So it seems like Christmas and New Year was an age away. So now everything has all calmed down I thought I would let you know what I got for Christmas.

For my families and Ells pressies I made some personalised sacks. I bought 5 potato sacks offline, cut the initials of everyone’s name and spray painted it on the front, then bought some Christmas ribbon to tie on the top. Here is what Ells and Jens looked like:
Sadly I completely forgot and was in a huge excitement that I forgot to take photos of all the others but I think they turned out really well and only cost me roughly £15 altogether.

From ‘My Boy’ Elliot
So we had a little deal to only spend £50 on each other. It is both our 21st this year so thought we would save money on Christmas pressies and go all out on birthday ones J.
Ell bought me a Dark navy Hollister gilet. It fits perfectly and has shape to it so I don’t just look like a big puffa ball.

From ‘My Sister’ Jen
I got a Topshop Tee with a large black cross on it, which I love, it can be worn casual or for a meal out for that ‘rocky’ look.  I also got a pretty jumper from warehouse, which I wear all the time and goes well under my new gilet, and finally a cute bubble bath cup cake which had a little snowman popping out of the top. I loved this and will be including it in my bath products post soon.

From ‘My Parents’
A TRIP TO GO SEE LION KING IN LONDON yayyyyy, with a night stay over and shopping on the Sunday. They bought it for me and my sister and we go on the 28th Jan. I am so bloody excited!!!

From ‘My Brother’ Si
A £50 Topshop voucher which I have already spent on a PU (faux leather) jacket and I love it!
So that’s what I got, and I am hugely grateful to everyone who bought me presents , Did you guys all have a lovely Christmas?

Winter wonderland skin care.

Hello ladies,

Sorry for completely neglecting my blog , I have been so busy that I have not had a minute to myself.
It has again come to the end of another action packed year. Did you all have a nice Christmas?? Mine was pretty quiet, spent with family and then a dash to derby to visit the boyfriend’s family and then back again for the new year where I had a few too many vodka, lime and sodas. Opps!

My new year’s resolutions were to:
Re paint my bathroom
Light more candles
Clear my jewellery, cloths and make-up draws out and sell any unwanted items :)

Started to light candles, so far so good.

Already started on the bathroom and under coated it.

Anyway on with the post- Winter wonderlands skincare.

Sorry about the crappy soap and glory tub, I have defiantly got my use out of it.

I think even us beauticians and beauty bloggers forget to look after our skins as well as we should!! Tut tut!! But I have been very good this winter and here are a few things I have been doing to attempt to keep my skin looking good.
Exfoliate scrub exfoliate!!!  We all struggle with a bit of dry flaky skin this time of year so I went out and bought myself some good Exfoliator. My favourite is ‘soap and glories flake away’. It exfoliates really well and is packed full of oils so leaves your skin feeling hydrated.
Good shower gel. Steer clear of drying shower gels- I like to use ‘L’Occitane’s almond shower oil’. Hydrating and it smells sooo goooddd. Both me and my friend Kate have come to the conclusion that even though ‘Lush snow fairy shower gel’ Smells...Well ....’lush’ it’s  just too drying for the skin so I just stick to this every now and then.
MOISTURISE. It’s just good sense really. The constant temperature change of the cold outside and the super drying central heating inside is sometimes just too much for the skin. I like to use ‘soap and glory ‘The Righteous Butter’ for my body. For my face I like the 'Liz Earle skin repair normal/combination'. For my hands I like ‘L’Occitane’s hand cream' and 'Arbonne FC5 nourishing hand moisturiser'.
I can sometimes forget about my lips. I like to keep a lip balm in my hand bag, on my bathroom sink, on my bedside table...the list can go on. No one wants dry, chapped un-kissable lips during the party season. I like to use Blistex lip tint. Avoid Vaseline...Why may you ask? because petroleum jelly is a product that the skin can get used to, So as soon as you miss to put some on your lips- they instantly miss it and become super dry and chapped. Your lips rely on this product too much so its terrible for your lips if you accidently loose it.
My hair also suffers a lot in winter months and due to cutting back on things I couldn't afford to repurchase my Moroccan oil, so purchased the V05 one which is terrible; My hair feels squeaky and no more hydrated after using it.

Hopefully next time it won’t take me as long to get another post up.  I have a few bath bombs that I am trying out so will let you know how I get along with them and maybe do a very late post on what I got for Christmas :)
